I have a strong work ethic and have solid mechanics. I practice year round, inside and out, with great coaches to refine and direct me that I also see year round. I have been selected by my kicking coaches to compete against the best kickers they train and done well in competition. I also kick against college kickers which pushes me and I perform well. You will see in my profile link what one of my coaches that kicked in the NFL has to say about me. I frequently can out kick bigger guys at camps because of proper technique. I deliver maximum contact for my size because I was taught how to properly strike the ball for flight and distance. I come prepared.
I have played 90 minute soccer games before football games, and when completed, literally ran to the bus that was waiting for me to leave and took every kick in that game. I went 7/7 on PATs, hit a 45 yard field goal and put every kick either in the end zone or inside the 10 yard line if allowed to kick away. I prepare my body for both sports year round while also preparing our future kickers to take my job. I am durable.
I have more in-game experience than most kickers will ever get, even before my senior season. Montrose is a high scoring team that I have been fortunate to be a part of and therefore I have kicked many times and different types of kicks required. I have the experience of pressure kicks. I bring this experience to the next level with me and will be prepared mentally and physically to succeed.
Learning to be a great kicker is a process of repetition and refining your skill until it becomes automatic. Kickers are about consistency and in that consistency comes confidence. Keeping it simple is important. I am focused on what I can control which as Jason Hanson says, is only the circle in front of you where only the ball is. My goal is to hit the ball the best I can every time. This is my approach to continue learning how to get better at kicking a football for my team.
I am academically, mentally and physically prepared to come to your college and put the ball where it belongs while preparing myself for my future. We have a common goal and that is success. I am willing to do whatever it takes so call me and let's get started.
