Whereas my speed is a given to be able to run step for step, and my strength gives me a physical advantage when I jam, or in a power battle, I believe it is definitely my instinct, and ability to gage the receivers next move that separates me from other DB's. When we are watching film I focus on the Receivers, and I master their movements. Receivers just as QB's have tendencies, and once I am familiar with those, and know the routes, it's my inner instinct, and ability to quickly adjust that allows me to perfect that coverage.
I'm very coachable and strategic. I'm an intense thinker, so I play football like a game of chess in triple time speed. I'm always anticipating my opponents next move, in order to turn my defense into offense.
I am definitely looking forward to the upcoming season. I have great coaches, and have practiced, and played with some very talented DB's and Receivers. That in itself has helped me develop to sharpen my skills. Now I'm looking forward to spending much more time on the field as I continue to work hard to make sure CT maintains that competitive edge. We want another undefeated season.
I absolutely look forward to playing at the next level. The desire to compete in college is a big part of my commitment & focus on the field, and in the classroom.
