A young Boyne City team gave all that a senior heavy Saint Francis could handle, but it wouldn't be enough as the #4 ranked (in Division 6) Saint Francis Gladiators defeated Boyne City 42-6. 3 Glads each had 2 touchdowns and Boyne City scored off a fumble recovery while they were on offense.

We'll break down their performances below:

Traverse City Saint Francis:

2019 OLB/TE Tom Hegewald is a 6'2 200 lbs prospect who we project around D1-FCS/D2 level. Hegewald is an OLB prospect with good instincts, read-reacts well, and is always making plays. Hegewald was by far one of the biggest standouts on Saturday which included many tackles and a PBU.

2019 DB/RB George Mackey holds 4 D3 roster opportunities entering the game. Mackey who is 5'11 180 lbs is one of the Gladiators main playmakers as he's solid cover corner with nice physical attributes as well. Has shown in the 2 games The D Zone has been at to have very good speed on getting to the sideline and outrunning the defense.

2019 CB/RB Artie Dutmers is a 5'10 170 lbs strong cover corner and a solid RB too. Dutmers has two opportunities for play Division III football. Dutmers had some good plays in coverage this past week, some nice tackles in space, and on special teams had 2 solo tackles.

2019 DT/OG Spencer Hathaway is a 6' 270 lbs interior lineman who is always causing problems for opposing lineman. Hathway is a high-motored player who will continue to draw interest from colleges as he consistently standouts. He's visiting NAIA program, Indiana Wesleyan this upcoming weekend.

2019 RB/S Evan McGee is a 5'11 180 lbs versatile playmaker for the Glads who plays both ways. McGee over the off-season dominated a combine The D Zone was at. He's had standout games both times The D Zone was up in Traverse City. McGee doesn't look like the most athletic player, but he's deceiving athletic on the field and always has a knack for making plays. He's hearing from D3 schools for football and is also a Lacrosse recruit. He scored 2 touchdowns on Saturday night.

2019 QB/S Danny Passinault is a the Gladiators most versatile player as he's an athletic player who is shifty and can turn up field well. Passinault scored on runs from 25 and 13 yards out.

Boyne City:

2020 LB/TE Max Vondra is a 6'1 215 lbs LB prospect who had a very active game defensively and was a key reason why Boyne City was in this game for as long as they were through the first 3 quarters. Vondra moves well and is a physically gifted player who is a sure-tackler.
